Habit Party
Privacy Policy
Habit Party is a family app for chores and good habits. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your information, and we don't show ads or use trackers. Kids never need an email address.
Who we are
Habit Party is made by Chore Coach LLC, a Washington limited liability company. Questions or requests: support@chorecoach.com.
Two ways to use Habit Party
- Free (on this device). Everything stays on your iPhone or iPad. We don't receive any of it.
- Family plan (with an account). A grown-up creates an account so the family can use Habit Party on several devices. That information is stored on our servers as described below.
What we collect with an account
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Grown-up's name, email and password (the password is stored only as a secure hash by our login provider) | To sign in and contact you about your account |
| Family name and family code | To group your family and connect friend families you choose |
| Each family member's first name or nickname, age, and girl/boy choice for their character | To set up age-appropriate tasks and the character's look |
| Character style, tasks, check-offs, rest days, season progress and rewards | To run the game |
| Task rewards and wallet history (amounts a family sets, such as "$1 for making the bed") | To show what each person earned. We never process payments between family members — this is a record only. |
| A scrambled version of each person's 4-digit PIN | So family members can't open each other's pages |
| Stickers sent between friends | To deliver them |
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, or a child's email or phone number. "Read tasks aloud" uses your device's built-in voice and doesn't send anything to us. Music and sounds are made on the device.
Children
Habit Party is designed for families with children. Only a parent or guardian can create an account. Children are added by that grown-up, without an email address, and their profiles are controlled by the grown-up. We collect only the information listed above, which is needed for the app to work, and we don't use it for advertising or share it with others.
A parent can review, change or delete a child's information at any time in Settings, or by emailing us. Deleting the account deletes every family member's information.
Who can see your information
- Your family sees each other's characters and progress.
- Friend families you connect with (by sharing your family code) can see first names, characters, this month's progress, and today's count, and can send stickers. They can't see wallets or change anything.
- Service providers that run the app for us: Supabase (database and login, hosted in the United States) and Apple (App Store and subscriptions). They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep account information while your account is active. A grown-up can delete the account any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes the login, the family, and all members' data from our database right away; backups held by our provider are cleared on their normal schedule. In the free version, deleting the app removes everything from the device.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and each family's data can be read only by that family's signed-in grown-ups (and, for limited progress info, by friend families they chose). No system is perfect, so please use a strong password.
Your choices and rights
You can see and edit your family's information in the app, ask us for a copy, or ask us to delete it by emailing support@chorecoach.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or Washington), you may have additional rights; we honor them for all users.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
